A shrine near JR Machida station in Haramachida 1-chome Machida City, Tokyo. It is a shrine of `sugawara michizane ‘famous as academic god. Therefore, it is especially popular among students, and there are many visitors. On September 25, various events such as “Grand Festival” on Saturday and Sunday, “Kagura” by Kagura drama beside the shrine, “Dance” etc. will be held. Also, stalls indispensable to the festival gather and many audience gather. Therefore, especially at the beginning of every month (slides will be held in November and January) “Antique market of Machida Tenma” will be held from 7 am to 4 pm. It is popular also for foreign travelers. There are many visitors including students.
